i would greatly appreciate having a stable amarok on windows. i love
that music player.
as it is, there's standalone installer for it, but it uses more RAM and
CPU than Skype, which is a very bad thing.

First of all, thank you for this release, I really appreciate your work.
That said, there's a small problem with out-of-the box Amarok: when
you make a clean install with only Amarok selected, phonon-vlc and vlc
packages are not added automatically and the player is quite useless.
Plus if you click on "Configure Phonon" later on, it'll just hang for
a while and crash, without any information about the cause. Maybe
those two packages could be added as dependencies?
Done now, I added it as a dependency to kdelibs (just where phonon is as
well). This doesn't apply to x64 binaries yet, because we are still
waiting for a x64 release of vlc. But that will be backported as soon as
we have that.
