Dbgview output is: [6220] Debug:okular(6220)/kdecore (trader) KMimeTypeTrader::query: query for mimeType "application/pdf" , "okular/Generator" : returning 1 offers [6220] Debug:okular(6220) PDFGeneratorPopplerDebugFunction: [Poppler] "Error: Couldn't open file 'C:/Users/patrick/Downloads/da?µ??.pdf': Invalid argument." After a short investigation, it seems that the error is in poppler itself.
