Doing an ldd on the kdenlive binary, one gets:
$ ldd ./kdenlive | grep -i -e valerie -e miracle
libmiracle.so.1
=> /scratch/KdenliveInstall//20081121/lib/libmiracle.so.1 (0xb5cf7000)
libvalerie.so.1
=> /scratch/KdenliveInstall//20081121/lib/libvalerie.so.1 (0xb564d000)
According to Dan Dennedy, valerie and miracle are the tcp streaming servers
and client in mlt.
Are there any reason why kdenlive link against those at all?

Mads

The low quality of [MP3] files should prevent this format from threatening
control of our intellectual property. Why would anyone listen to a sub-CD
quality song when they can easily buy the CD at the local Tower Records?
