hi guys i took a stab at carving up the monolithic quickstart guide, have a look at:
http://www.kdenlive.org/node/1463 i also started a screen-by-screen walkthrough of the latest SVN version 0.7.4+ and stuck it under the reference manual stub. http://www.kdenlive.org/node/1462 feedback is welcome! some notes from this mornings editing: - there seem to be some nodes i can't edit, eg: /node/71, not sure if this is intentional or a problem with doc editor role permissions - using the image module to preview pictures works great for the web, but the pdf printer chokes on the img links: TCPDF ERROR: Image file has no extension and no type was specified: /home/www/8864acea003f2354834d936830f18e43/web/image/view/1475/preview - navigation around the book is pretty slow without the book contents available in dhtml_menu mode. the manual would be a lot more usable if the book navigation block was visible on book pages, and the dhtml_menu module was installed. - similarly, could the "active forum" and "recent blog" and "whos online" blocks be limited to <front>? they are great on the landing page, but once you drill into the site, the book navigation becomes a much better use of left hand screen real estate - also, the search box should probably be near the top somewhere instead of bottom left... - adding links to screen shots is a bit repetitive in the markup, but not too bad. i think flexifilter might be able to streamline this, will play around with it on my drupal and let you know if i find something good. - also, enabling bulk image imports would be nice for batches of screenshots! - we should probably come up with some coherent CSS class/id structure soonish.... - maybe wishful thinking here, but down the road it would be nice to have a scripted kdenlive session with automatic screen grabs of the relevant windows. is there a way to do this in KDE? thanks ray ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OpenSolaris 2009.06 is a cutting edge operating system for enterprises looking to deploy the next generation of Solaris that includes the latest innovations from Sun and the OpenSource community.
