I added audio balance and panning to MLT and Kdenlive. It occurred to me while testing, that if the audio waveform displays swapped channels so that left is on bottom, then the keyframe curves would be more intuitive. You see 0 is left and 1000 is right. Currently, the lines point in the opposite direction of where they are headed, and it would be much more intuitive the other way around. Swapping the meaning of the values would make the horizontal slider work counter-intuitively. So, swapping the stacking order of the waveforms seems to make more sense even it it is not obvious in the absence of balance and pan.
