Hi all! Now that 0.7.8 is released, I think it's time to make a decision about joining KDE (moving to extragear).
My opinion is that moving to KDE will be a good opportunity to touch a broader audience and also get new people to work on the code / translation. I personnaly have a good experience with the KDE community (I am the original author of KGpg). So if nobody is against it, I would like to ask Markus Slopianka to help us achieve the move. My idea was to prepare a 0.7.9 release for Kdenlive which would bring minor features (there is already a rather long todo list at: http://kdenlive.org/mantis/search.php?project_id=1&sticky_issues=on&target_version=future%20version&sortby=last_updated&dir=DESC&hide_status_id=90 and mostly bugfixes in something like 1 - 1.5 monthes, while preparing the move to KDE, then have a 0.8 release that could include some deeper changes, for example like proxy editing...
