Fade to/from black uses MLT's brightness filter with an in and out
keyframe (see the effect xml files fade_to_black.xml, fade_from_black.html).
Additionally all over the source of Kdenlive there are special cases
because of the way the fade duration can be changed in the timeline and
because the length has to be translated into a keyframe.
