The slider type growing/shrinking color bar several people like seems to be
a nice visual aid in some cases, but what happens when there are values,
such as a position coordinate that don't need to have such a thing?
When you move something in X coordinate, there isn't a minimum or maximum
value for that parameter, so we shouldn't represent this kind of value with
a growing/shrinking slider color either.
Is there consensus on not showing slider color bars in those cases?
