About kdenlive stable/0.9: Since summer I've tried to edit a few clips with kdenlive on Debian unstable and it was crashing a bit too much. I hope it's not lagging behind some ffmpeg/libav/mlt/kde/qt API changes which could explain these, but running cppcheck and Coverity scan on the sources and fixing their findings would be really good tasks for anyone interested. About the Coverity kdenlive 'project': anyone can join in and I should be able to approve applications to see kdenlive results (in addition to JB). The master branch would benefit from similar scans as well.
