Just in case, I'm also involved with ALT Linux based regular
builds that are basically weekly LiveCD images with many DE/WMs
(and a rescue one); maybe it's worth considering either including
auto-updated kdenlive git build into those or paying more
attention to kdenlive package in ALT Linux Sisyphus, *or*
building a standalone kdenlivecd as kde4 flavour is well over
a gigabyte (even if it's UEFI/BIOS bootable hybrid image):
