This is a known issue. Due to a server overload, I had to disable all interactivity on kdenlive.org in the summer of 2013. Since we now moved to the KDE servers, we should have enough resources to re-enable it. However, the "Download new render profiles" feature was previously based on user provided content and this is a problem because: * We tried re-enabling user registration to allow this kind of features in late decembre 2014, but kdenlive.org was flooded with hundreds of spam accounts requests every day, which made it impossible to manage - so I had to disable it again last month. * Nobody was 'maintaining' the profiles, so their quality or usefulness was not verified, and after some time, it became a bit messy. > Could one of the project devs/maintainers please comment on this issue? > Are there plans to either fix the issue or remove the option to prevent > people trying to use it? We are currently investing all our energy into a new release and a refactoring effort. In my opinion, it's a good thing to have this feature because it allows us to release new rendering profiles without a new Kdenlive release, so I would like to keep it. The best solution would be to have someone volunteering to manage and update these profiles. But as I said this is currently not a top priority issue for our small developer team. regards jb _______________________________________________ kdenlive mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdenlive
