Hi,

Yes, this was set at the time JB switched to refactoring and hoped to
get help for this huge task to get the new kdenlive functionnal again.
Now I think refactoring has become lower priority, as the new devs don't
have sufficient knowledge for the moment, and JB told me the transition
was probably too abrupt (almost everything a new from scratch, long to
get useful), a smoother evolution might be more manageable.

We should move this text to a "refactoring" section, and update Roadmap
with shorter term objectives we can discuss here.
For my part I see from short to long term (already suggested in previous
mails):
- sorting bugs from mantis and fixing / answering wishlist
- finishing movit integration
- porting to Qt5/KF5
- new features
- refactoring component by component (monitor/timeline/project
manager/effects/...) with maybe redundant code during transition but
always functional code

I have been studying the code towards the 3 first points, but didn't
make the first jump to change a line, should happen soon hopefully?
