FYI the mlt 0.6.0 release due by end-of-year will have parallel processing for that multi-stage image processing I mentioned, but not the decoding, which is handled by ffmpeg and limited in many ways because it is not thread-safe. Nevertheless, it is quite nice. -- +-DRD-+
