You can reset the layout part by editing or whole configuration choices by 
deleting ~/.kde/share/config/kdenliverc 

I was messed up the layout once and this was the only solution altough a bad 
one...

Btw... I like the opportunity of undocking a lot, it gives a feature of 
seperating all the monitors and assign them to different physical ones and 
it's great...
