Hi,
Some widget style (mostly GTK+) do not support color theming, which made
Kdenlive unusable with a dark color theme, so if the GTK+ theme is
detected, on first startup, we force the Breeze theme in Kdenlive. That is
maybe what happened for you.
You should have a "Style" entry in Kdenlive's "Settings" menu that allows
you to switch style. Choosing "Default" should make Kdenlive follow the
Destop's style.
