Hi, as Larry says he is on Ubuntu 15.10 he may be much better trying the stable Kdenlive ppa here instead of "downloading": https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archive/ubuntu/kdenlive-stable Larry, please make sure you have also installed suggested KDE 5 libraries, as some of the dependencies are unfortunately not enforced correctly on Ubuntu. If you search the Kdenlive forum, there should be several posts about the necessary dependencies (look for mint, arch, and ubunutu). I'm on Kubuntu 16.04 so I can't exactly remember because Kubuntu already has all the dependency stuff correctly installed out of the box. Best regards, Harald
