I guess I have found a solution for this problem. In KMail or Kontact go to
Settings->Configure KMail->Composer->Charset or Settings->Configure
Kontact->Email->Composer->Charset, respectively. Bring utf-8 to be on top. The
complete attachment (incl. ORGANIZER and ATTENDEE) will then be correctly utf-8
encoded.
