As this comment is some 3 years old, it proves to be wrong by itself.
I currently use bogofilter for spam filtering, but I dont know if bogofilter or
some filter rules block kmail. Maybe you can adapt some code from
www.polarbar.net, a mailer I used before (unfortunately the development
stopped). Filtering and spam scan was much faster than in Kmail
