It could be for example black (filled) rectangle with white text "EOT" or ">"
(or a line, just suggestions), something nice, but on the other hand
non-disturbing.
Purpose -- to see exactly where the text ends without having to press ctrl+end
to put cursor and the end (and delete unnecessary lines for example).
