The "Default reply template" translation in kde-i18n 3.5.8 for Norwegian Bokmål
(nb) is broken in a way which makes kmail show a blank message when you reply
instead of a quoted version of the message you are replying to.
The current translation is:
%REM=«Standard svarmal »%-
På %ODATEEN , %OTIMELONGEN skrev du:
%QUOTE
%CURSOR
The does-not-break-kmail version is:
%REM="Standard svarmal"%-
På %ODATE , %OTIMELONG skrev du:
%QUOTE
%CURSOR
Do note the %REM= with "" in the correct version, the «Standard svarmal » part
in the translation totally breaks kmail's reply function. It should also be
noted that %ODATEEN , %OTIMELONGEN give English texts for date and time while
the shorter correct-for-translation %ODATE , %OTIMELONG is actually translated
when you hit reply.
BTW! All the other reply templates used by kmail (reply to list, etc) are
TOTALLY BROKEN in exactly the same way.
This bug is kind of serious since it imho makes kontact/kmail completely
useless for everyone who chooses to use KDE 3.5.8 in Norwegian...
