Hi,
this bug can easily be reproduced like this:
1. Tools -> filter log viewer
2. Turn on "Log filter activities"
3. Restart kmail
result: "Log filter activities" is turned off again
The filter log would be particularly useful to see which filters were applied
to your new mail, so you can see where the mail has gone :)
