I'm having this problem too as long as I can remember. I guess this problem is
forgotten about, and is therefore postponed :|
In every update of kmail I hope it got fixed but it has been idle hope the last
few years :/
My full problem description:
The number indicating the amount of unread/new mails in imap folders keep
showing up wrong. As soon as I open an imap folder the amount changes to the
right amount. After I change to another imap folder and leave kmail idle for
some time, the amount changes back to a wrong value.
I'm using kmail 1.9.9, which is included in ubuntu hardy. The imap server is
running courier 3.0.8..
