As above. If you are connecting to a pop3 or imap server and your account
password starts with a ! kmail will fail to authenticate.
Once it fails to authenticate and you manually type in the password you can
connect to the server. Storing the password in teh config file and restarting
kmail, the authentication problem shows its self again.
