Hi David!
That is one of our more popular KMail bugs. I have no idea if it is already
fixed in the KDE 4 version, but at least I didn't experience the bug and didn't
get reports so far.
For the KDE 3 version, I'm not maintaining that, it will probably not get fixed
there.
