--- Comment #72 from Kai Ponte <kai perfectreign com> 2009-01-15 04:37:19 --- I did switch to Thunderbird as well. I am not happy with Thunderbird. The UI is not as intuitive as KMail, the opening of attachments is horrendously slow, the integration with exiting KDE apps to open attachments is non-existent, the look and feel is the horrible GNOME-style, including the non-user-friendly open/save dialog boxes, and the fonts are difficult to setup. On top of that - just to get the base functionality I have in KMail, I am forced to install and configure a ton of plugins, and finally it doesn't allow me to switch between RTF, Plain Text and HTML (as Outlook 2003/7 does). Even then, things (like reply-to list and proper quoting) don't work as well as in KMail. However, it does support HTML email replies and forwarding. I really wish I could use KMail. KDE has some great HTML apps - Konqueror, Quanta - so the knowledge from those should be easily ported to KMail. This isn't the days of Elm. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
