SUMMARY
I tried to setup kmail with my gmail account. I followed this tutorial:
https://userbase.kde.org/KMail/Account_Wizard. There is an information to
generate an application-specific password if you have GMail 2-step verification
setup.
I didn't have GMail 2-step verification but to sync I had to enable it and
follow the instructions.
I think it is a misleading information because it doesn't imply that you should
set GMail 2-step verification but only follow instructions if you already had
set it up.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. disable Gmail 2-step verification
2. set GMail account through account wizard.
OBSERVED RESULT
An authentication error showed up.
EXPECTED RESULT
Should sync Gmail account with KMail.
