Hi,
when you
1.) start Kmail
2.) open a VPN connection such that all traffic is tunneled
then Kmail will refuse to connect to any mailserver. The only thing that helps
is restart Kmail.
Not sure if this is related to VPN directly; I may have seen that with
switching connections in any way, e.g., changing the WLAN network or changing
from WLAN to LAN and so on.
