However, both kaddressbook, and selecting an address for a new email, seem to work perfectly fine. There is a simple 'workaround' to the empty folder list (as mentioned originally by [email protected]): 1. Close kmail (not minimize, close) and start it again, 2. The very first attempt (and only the first) to add to the addressbook works correctly (although the cancel button still produces the incorrect dialog box).
