Since KDE 4.3.0 very often after using Kontact for a while and then quitting
it, the process remains active (without using CPU time, however). I then have
to kill it manually. Otherwise it refuses to start again and will also be
considered "running" by the KDE session manager, which will start it
automatically at the next login.
