Hi,
I have a weird situation. Whenever one of the two applications, kontact or
dolphin, are open my whole system gets extremely sloppy. Mouse movements are
lurching (seems like not all mouse events are recognized since the cursor
starts jumping), keyboard actions are noticeably delayed and compiz effects
become very choppy. When closing the affore-mentioned applications everything's
back to normal.
All this just happens when I use compiz. Switching to kwin solves the issue.
btw. I'm using opensuse's 1.6.5 X-server with the i915 kernel module from
vanilla kernel 2.6.32/2.6.33
