Summary: Allow for prioritizing folders when checking mail
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.12.4
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Version: 1.12.4 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-thinkpad

I have a very large mailbox (GMail ;-), and with KMail I'm subscribed to many
IMAP folders that contain lots of mails. Which means that a full sync takes
quite long (5 minutes or so). According to my filter rules, the most urgent
and important mails (as well as mails to which no rule applies) stay in the
inbox. But KMail checks folders in alphabetical order. That means, when a
full sync is running, I have to wait a long time before getting new messages in
my inbox. It would be cool if I could tell KMail to prioritize the inbox over
the other folders. The GUI for configuring this could either be integrated
into the "folder properties" dialog, allowing for assigning some discrete
priority (e.g. high/default/low), or, better, an extension of the
serverside/local subscription dialog that allows the list of folders to be
reordered.
