In English an example of such a character would be the hyphen. The name
"Ben-Solman" could be typed "Ben Solman" for instance. In Hebrew the letter Yod
and the character Geresh (apostrophe) are often eliminated in names, and just
as often included. This is very problematic and even strict adherence to either
an "include all" or "eleminate all" policy from the user's perspective is not
enough to eliminate the problem.
