At the moment I use standard compliant attachments and I have not heard any complaints from other users for some time now. I am sure that there are Outlook users among them, too. So I do not know, if these users just do not complain or if the problem does not exist with newer versions of Outlook. If newer versions of Outlook still have the same problem with attachments, I would prefer to leave this request open. I think a developer who knows Outlook better than me, can answer this question.
