Bugzilla would be only one case, facebook would be another etc. p.p. However, Bugzilla seems to add a common ancestor in the "In-Reply-To" and "References" headers, so even if the common ancestor might be missing, these bug updates should actually be threaded in kmail. I wonder why it isn't. So this might indeed be a valid bug.
