I checked it with Application: kleopatra (2.2.0) Using KDE Development Platform 4.13.3 Qt Version: 4.8.6 Operating System: Linux 3.15.7-1-ARCH x86_64 Distribution: Arch linux packages I reproduced the steps for the crash as described. Kleopatra crashes as described.
