Thanks for your report. And sorry for slow answer. With KDEPIM from master I can´t reproduce it. I create a test group with two members, created a mail with test group as recipient, saved it as draft, on selecting edit mail in drafts I got the mail back with the two group members instead of the name of the test group. While this is not yet a fully lossless restoration, I ask you whether that would be good enough for you. Otherwise feel free to reopen the bug and I would set it to wishlist as I think its basically working somewhat okayish.
