Even manual filtering and Ctrl+J don't work. My standard procedure then is to just open the filter settings dialog (Einstellungen|Filter einrichten...) and close it immediately with Ok, i.e. without changing anything. From then on filtering works as expected. It seems like the whole filtering mechanism is only started upon firing up the configuration dialog.
