I've recently upgraded my kea install to v1.2, I use a galera cluster for my sql backend and because 1.1 didn't seem to support this through proxysql (it wouldn't connect) I've just tried it with kea 1.2. I run three instances of kea and if I point each of those to a a different (or the same) mysql server they work without problems.
When I tried 1.2 it does connect to the proxysql instance but doesn't issue any leases and also logs some errors as shown below: 2017-06-20 14:26:44.228 INFO [kea-dhcp4.leases/5935] DHCP4_LEASE_ADVERT [hwtype=1 00:0c:29:bc:bc:18], cid=[01:00:0c:29:bc:bc:18], tid=0x2770ed3a: lease 192.168.1.175 will be advertised 2017-06-20 14:26:44.238 ERROR [kea-dhcp4.alloc-engine/5935] ALLOC_ENGINE_V4_ALLOC_ERROR [hwtype=1 00:0c:29:bc:bc:18], cid=[01:00:0c:29:bc:bc:18], tid=0x1f9ccf44: error during attempt to allocate an IPv4 address: unable to execute for <INSERT INTO lease4(address, hwaddr, client_id, valid_lifetime, expire, subnet_id, fqdn_fwd, fqdn_rev, hostname, state) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)>, reason: No data supplied for parameters in prepared statement (error code 0) Does that appear to be a problem with kea or proxysql or is it something I need to address? Is this currently a supported configuration and if not, could it be supported? Note that 1.2 also works correctly if I point each kea server to one of the mysql servers or all of them to the same mysql server. Regards Bill
