Greetings, this is first time of me using mailing list, so hopefully I’m doing it right. We had an unexpected outage in middle of night due to Kea not processing leases for some reason. We have two servers in HA load-balancing state. According to logs, the secondary server stopped processing leases, main server did notice and tried to recover connection, which kind of did, synchronization was “working”, but secondary server still wasn’t processing leases. Also Kea didn’t want to SIGTERM by using systemctl stop, so systemd sent SIGKILL instead after some time.
I attached logs if someone is interested looking at them. These are cut to only include lines where the issue happened. I did look in the journalctl logs too for different messages, but I couldn’t find anything useful, mostly just MariaDB connections and cron jobs, nothing connected to Kea. Core dumps are not available obviously because Kea did not crash. I want to ask if someone had this issue in the past. We doubt it’s a network issue. I also want to ask if host-standby is better solution to prevent this in the future than in load-balancing?
