Hello all, I am new to this community and have been trying to get the dhcp server set up to support dhcp services that are on a different vrf then the server. I have been able to get this to work for the most part but have been having some issues with clients renewing. I have set up a new class to match the vrf name that is sent as part of option 82 and then have used class in the subnet definition to select the correct pool. I believe that the issue is that the DHCP offer that is sent from the server and back through the relay has option 54 set has the actual dhcp server ip address.
>From reading the kea documentation it says that if option 82 sub option 11 (server-id-override) is sent kea will accept it as the server-id. I read this has kea would use this ip address as the ip address in option 54 as part of the offer. Is there some config switch I need to change to get this behavior, I am reading this wrong, or maybe it is a bug. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott
