I had some trouble with the "broker" task as well. I've just checked in an update to keel-build that
1. Fixes some problems with the openjms configuration file for the latest openjms version 2. Adds a task "openjms-start" (and openjms-stop) Try this update please, I think it will work for you. (There may be a delay before it comes through in anonymous CVS unless SourceForge have corrected this already)...
