I just got two spams, one from "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", both with the July 16 address. The inadvertent spammer probably has Mike's ooold address in their address book, as well as the vpp-list, a listserv for an open source preprocessor based on Velocity.

Myself, Pete and Adam have been getting a barrage of messages looking like official Microsoft Software update notices, with .exe attachments. They are coming from all over the place (return addresses) and some are bounces, where the return address was our own email address.
Anyway, we think that someone subscribed on this list has a compromised system infected with the Blaster or similar virus. We'd appreciate it if everyone could do a quick check and make sure their computers are clean. I don't have too much faith we'll get this stopped soon, but hey, we can all dream!

PS: Adam has received a bunch of emails with Sep-16 as the sent date, so if someone has an incorrect date set on their PC, we may have a clue. I am getting emails dated today, BTW.
