Jeff,

This is very, very impressive. Models are the heart of any Keel app., and automating the flow in such an easy fashion will undoubtedly increase productivity. I am itching to try it out :-).

Now that we have individual version numbers for each module in Keel, we have been marking different levels of maturity for each module/JAR. We can go with whatever version you are comfortable with, alpha/beta/experimental/etc. But, I cannot even imagine going to Keel-2.0 without this very important and impressive capability. I feel even more this way, particularly since what you seem to have left is the documentation, on which you have a very decent start. So, I vote to postpone the RC2 release until you are ready (unless, of course, I am wrong and you are weeks away from finishing it off).

I just read this as I was working on the initial
documentation. I would suggest that you go ahead with
the release of 2.0. Workflow is coming along quite
well. It has revolutionized how we do work at the
Naval Safety Center. There are still a few little
kwirks to be worked out, but works very well.

If you like using sequences, you will absolutely love
the workflow editor. For example, my manager had me
develop an app with about 10 different prompt models
with their associated process models. She came to me
wanting to rearange the entire flow. I fired up the
editor (Eclipse plugin) and 15 seconds and an
assemble-deploy later, whalah, completely rearanged
application.

I am attaching screen shots of the editor just for
kicks and the curious.

All,

A reminder to all that current plans are to roll out
an RC2 build Monday night. Please do all your checkins by Monday
afternoon. Let me know if you need me to hold the build out past Monday, if
changes are imminent. So far, I know of the following changes:

1) Jeff - app-workflow changes
2) Mike - Hibernate changes

Couple other observations:
- Steve/Santanu, is svc-fileupload-struts to the
level you need it? It needs to be added to custom.xml, the properties
files, etc.
- Daniel, were you going to have a 2.0 version of
the spellchecker service in time for the release? Same question about
the multi-select changes you made a couple weeks back.
