We now have two more client integrations in CVS, Maverick (clnt-maverick) - http://mav.sourceforge.net/, and WebWork2 (clnt-webwork2) - http://wiki.opensymphony.com/space/WebWork2. Both of these can handle JSPs and Velocity, among others. Of these Maverick is the simpler one, WebWork2 is more capable, with interceptor stacks during the request processing, as well as its own IOC container (from XWork).
The deployments and the forwarding in Keel works just like any other clnt- adaptation. Minimal info is at: http://66.105.113.115/vqwiki-2.3.5/jsp/Wiki?DeploymentHOWTO. The default views are in JSTL (Maverick), JSTL (WebWork2) and Velocity (WebWork2).
