Shocking to many analysts - The US House of Representatives has REJECTED the proposed bailout: 207 for and 226 against.. The Republicans majorly voted against the bailout (proposed by their own party!) about 133 against vs 65 for - nearly 2:1. Next steps - the bailout plan could be brought back into another round of voting in the house... maybe tonight itself. There will be some major backscene drama as the Republican leadership will try to sway its NAY voters to say AYE. The Dow is down >550 points at 10565.
