Idea Cellular, an Aditya Birla Group GSM service provider, posted 7.32 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 219.45 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 236.77 crore in the corresponding period last year
Total consolidated income, however, has increased to Rs 2731.05 crore from Rs 1710.31 crore. On standalone basis, the company reported 19.74 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 284.01 crore for the reporting quarter, as compared to Rs 237.19 crore during the comparable period last year.
