Chennai-based Shasun Chemicals had reported net loss of Rs 13.48 crore during the quarter ended December 31, 2008 as compared to profit of Rs 5.86 crore during the same period last year.
Company's net sales increased by 10 per cent to Rs 130 crore during the quarter as comapred to Rs 118 crore, a year ago. Consumption of raw materials had increased to Rs 77.8 crore as compared to Rs 70.9 crore, an increase of 9 per cent.
