*Power Grid Corporation Of India* reported a decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 3.10% to Rs 3,723.50 million from Rs 3,842.80 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 36.07% to Rs 14,774.40 million, while total income for the quarter rose 30.90% to Rs 15,626.70 million, when compared with the prior year period.
