Private-sector lender Karur Vysya Bank today said its net profit in the
December quarter grew 27.61 per cent at Rs 59.25 crore over the
corresponding period a year ago.


The bank had a net profit of Rs 46.43 crore in December quarter last fiscal,
Karur Vysya Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income of the bank rose to Rs 506.43 crore in the third quarter of the
current financial year from Rs 340.04 crore of last fiscal.

For the nine-month period ended December 31, Karur Vysya Bank reported a net
profit of Rs 152.02 crore, a 10.32 per cent growth over Rs 137.79 crore in
the same period last fiscal.

During the December quarter, the lender earned an interest of Rs 375.13
crore, whereas the same was at Rs 295.62 crore last year.
