*Akruti City* disclosed a 78.68% decline in consolidated net profit of Rs 217 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008 as against Rs 1,017.70 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007.
The company posted a substantial drop of 63.63% in consolidated total income of Rs 495.9 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 08 from Rs 1,363.5 for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007. The company posted a substantial drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 73.55% to Rs 190.80 million from Rs 721.30 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales declined 63.96% to Rs 473.70 million, while total income for the quarter fell 63.09% to Rs 516.80 million, when compared with the prior year period.
